In my current role as a Senior Visual Designer, I am responsible in creating concepts, artwork, and layouts for digital projects across different devices, based on creative briefs and internal client meetings. My role also need to ensure peers adhere to brand, UX and AODA guidelines across all creative and reinforce company’s brand style and voice through its visual touch points.
At the Toronto Star, I was the Lead Designer for the Business and Sports sections of the Toronto Star Touch tablet application, I assist the art director on the main News section, and I’m involved in major projects such as 2015 Canadian federal election, Westminister Bridge attack in London, and a special feature story on torture in Mosul. I work closely with the entire Toronto Star newsroom, including reporters, producers, designers and visual specialists. Recently I received an Award of Excellence at SND Digital 2017, USA, also a team award from NNA Merit Award for Best Presentation 2016, Canada
I excel at AEM, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Microsoft Office as well as kanban board softwares. Through years of experience in the design industry and being part of several companies,
multi-tasking between different projects is one of the many assets that I gained. To be successful in my field
of work, I understand the importance of organization, following guidelines, and embracing the company’s ethics and culture.
