Re-fresh Pet Valu franchise website with responsive layout, and a better user experience with updated imagery

The Problem


The Pet Valu franchise website had a very dated look and feel. The elements and layout of the page wasn't user friendly, and it's not responsive. The website didn't align with the Pet Valu main website.

The Process


Met with the stakeholders and IT to understand the design system, Pet Valu branding, and limitation for the website. Multiple mid- hi  fidelity wireframes were created for review, and revisions. Pet Valu official images were provided for the final mockup.

  • Reduced height of hero banner carousel to avoid body content being push below the fold.
  • Introducing new secondary banner style for showing body content to keep visual more interesting and easy to navigate.
  • Suggesting to remove the background grid pattern help improve visual accessibility.
  • Suggesting to add a hero banner for each landing page to lead audience into the content.
  • New content block style to help improve user navigate and keep interests on the page.
  • Using different shape/style to show images where it aligns the banding of Pet Valu.
  • Suggesting to add a hero banner for each landing page to lead audience into the content.
  • Using a content block to highlight the steps/points help catch audience attention and express the purpose/goal of this page.
  • Recommending to implement a filter option where allows user to pick the location they are interested compare to current user experience.
